Does anyone else find the whole topic of variables and references confusing in TW5? *Item *may be reference as ... item variable="item $item$ $(item)$ <<item>> and probably others. *currentTiddler *is referenced in the documentation, but then there are no follow-up examples of its use. Just having the example here you've provided is a good thing. If you want, I'm willing to put your info into a pull request. I would change the title to something like: "*How to use variable feature of list widget*", change tense from first person to second person, and make adaptations for TW formatting.
