Have not thought about that but pragmas offer a door to making structured 
code principles available, be they if / else or other.

Maybe that's more simplistic than we can make use of...

\ifdef param

Instead, we could do things like...

\if param (mode:value)

for example...

\if param (equals:<<foo>)
