In short, what I need or want to do is something like...
either...
<$link to={{<<currentTiddler>>!!$field$}}>{{<<currentTiddler>

or...
<$link to={{<<currentTiddler>>!!<<field>>}}>{{<<currentTiddler>>!!<
<someField>>}}</$link>
...in a macro, neither of which working, obviously.
In other words, the reference to the actual target tiddler is stored in a
field somewhere... variably so.
