If you click on the magnifying glass icon next to each number it will bring you to the advanced search with the filter used to get that number in the input field.
You can use that filter with the count widget to get the number displayed. But, since the count widget doesn't actually return a number you can use as input to other things I made the action-storecount widget (http://inmysocks.tiddlyspot.com/#MathyThing%20-%20action-storecount%20Widget) it is the count widget that also takes a tiddler and field as inputs and stores the count in that field. It is an action widget so it requires a button press to activate.
