In my opinion there is a big advantage in moving customizations into plugins. The very first one is that you can easily remove them, share them with your own tiddlywikys and basically give them a context where everything that is related is packed into a single thing. There are other advantages like you can edit the shadow tiddlers, for example for experiment, and if you mess something out you just have to delete your edited tiddler and you have the original one back.
