Hi Jed, I think that your widget/macro combination is the right way to proceed with the calendar - it is the right form for tw5. My own calendar plugin was originally written early in the beta days while I was experimenting with tw5 for the first time. It was then modified to get it to provide functionality that people requested for use with the journal tiddlers, in short it works but is not really the right form for tw5 and I would like something more 'tw5 shaped' - so it would be good if you developed it further.
