I was about to start thinking about prettifying my page with theme customisations, and we could do with a few things to make it easier to do without knowledge of CSS.
One thing about background images though. The default sidebar text has some sort of shadow effect which looks nice on the grey background, but looks a bit ugly on top of an image.
