You could try this:
create a new template tiddler eg: link
content: <$link to={{!!title}}>{{!!title}}</$link>
So you can call your link with: {{[myBracketTiddler]||link}} or
{{[myTiddler]||link}}
The mechanism used is a transclusion with a template: see:
