The default font stack for TiddlyWiki appears to be: *"Helvetica
Neue",Helvetica,Arial,"Lucida Grande",sans-serif*
Would you happen to have a partial copy any of those fonts installed that
could be getting selected in error?

Alternatively you could try overriding your default style in a custom
stylesheet, something like:

html { font-family: sans-serif; font-weight: normal; }

Be sure to tag the tiddler with *$:/tags/Stylesheet* to mark it as a
stylesheet.
Hope this helps,

    Mike
