I think the issue is that you want your web hosted tiddly wiki to be synched, which is different than having your local files synched.
The problem is, that your web host probably allows access via FTP (or RCP/SCP), which doesn't talk to drop-box. A quick search on line turned up a couple of 3rd party connectors (e.g. mover.io, backup box) that use FTP to back up your data to drop box. But since you have a linux local machine, maybe you could use rsync with chron to make regular backups (synchs) without depending on 3rd parties.
