Wayyyy behind the eightball here, as I'm only now digging into TW5 — but 
I've been tracking my work hours by hand in TWC for years.  (I create a 
journal tiddler for each day and log the times I clock in and out in a 
simple table in the upper right corner of the day.  I keep a running total 
for the week, which I cut and paste into the next day's tiddler each 
morning.  At the end of the week, I put my hours worked into a tiddler that 
has listings for each week of the year.)

A plugin that allows some simple, user-directed calculations could 
revolutionize how I keep track of that, shaving off a minute of mental math 
each day.  (That doesn't sound like much, but that's a few hours less I'd 
be recording each year!  :P  )
