No -- the widget is fairly small. It should however, render the 
'tm-new-tiddler' redundant (might need a few tweaks to correctly update 
$:/HistoryList and $:/StoryList) -- the listener in the $navigator widget 
could then be removed at some stage.

My reason for not submitting to the core: I don't know the full specs for a 
new-tiddler widget. With some help, I could likely upgrade the code to the 
required specs.
