I think the plans you’re referring to are my intention to update TiddlyFox to 
perform backups in the same scheme as TiddlyDesktop. I’m going to have to 
update TiddlyFox in the next two or three months because of upcoming changes to 
Firefox in any case.

It’s really related to the saver in use. The fallback HTML5 saver already 
supports backups if you allow the downloaded files to accumulate.

(There’s no support for TiddlySaver.jar in TW5 because of the security concerns 
over the last few years about Java).
