Thanks again for your insight. Just as a follow-up as to what I found. 

I took the sample text I posted previously and used Sublime to add break 
tags between each paragraph. When outputted in slicer, I got: 


   - All the text which is not a header in one chunk
   - Heading 1
   - Heading 2
   - So on...
