Hi Jed, I'm using your solution (dating back to 28/03/2015) and it works well.
I was just reporting about something that looks strange to me : the difference between the two cliks on the button. The first one does nothing (or almost nothing) and it seems to me to be the correct behaviour. The second click does create a tiddler. So I guess something changed between the two clicks.
