Ciao David As far as I understand it the mechanism is the same as ordinary Tiddlers. You CANNOT have two or more with same name. When editing you get a warning. On import you don't.
I think on the existing method of import there is NO checking against existing Tiddlers of any kind and overwrite is the result. As I have commented before, I find it limiting that you can't have many Tiddlers with the same name. It very much surprised me that TW doesn't create unique index numbers for every new Tiddler and use that as the core index value, rather than the title. FYI, I have over 300 short texts all titled "Crusoe" for a particular artwork. And that is how they SHOULD be titled. I can't use TW easily for that work unfortunately, so I have taken it a different way.
