Ciao PMario I did try look up what the history was before posting. I did feel there must be *a reason* why the default is set that way even though its counter normative.
But Google Groups is absolutely useless for anything but the crudest kind of search, so I gave up on that. Thank you for telling me there was a choice made at some point for the Default we now have. I'm still not quite convinced its the best way. But its okay. Its only a setting.
