It should be named $:/favicon.ico

Note that because .png is not vector based (like .svg... and, btw, I don't 
think favicons can be in .svg), your image has to be in a good size. I 
think it is 16'16px or 32'32px. Otherwise you will get bits compressing 
with ugly results.
