I wonder whether TiddlyDesktop might be the "safer" recommendation for newbies, though. If they hear "Firefox ESR", they might not understand its particularities and therefore believe that any older version of Firefox (even if outdated and possibly insecure) would do. When running TiddlyDesktop, at least they wouldn't be tempted to use it for visiting other websites as well (because this is not possible, as far as I know).
