An issue is, that julien23 raised, is "what is THE mode" (or maybe TWO). I think D.I.Y. users get used to 17 Options Before Breakfast. IMO its a non-starter for newbies. Better to have ONE or TWO that are known to work cross-platform that are ADVERTISED. Advertising 16+ is gonna prove a major turn-off for getting new users.
