It would be helpful, I have already followed other advice and have the 
Editor toolbar doing this in edit mode. I will try and dig up the details 
if no one else presents a thorough answer.

The key is applying an appropriate style, and using the z axis, most of the 
solution comes from HTML

Until now with the issue you face I have reproduced the standard tiddler 
buttons at the bottom of the tiddler as well.
