This seems to work:

<$wikify type="text/x-markdown" name="md" output="html" 
text={{MarkdownExample}}>

</$wikify>

Where text is replaced with your markdown tiddler you want embedded. This 
will render the markdown even if the original text wasn't identified as 
markdown. Of course you have to have md plugin installed.
