You’ll recognise Joe’s name from his postings to the group. What you may not 
know is that Joe is an eminent computer scientist working in distributed 
systems, and the co-inventor of an influential programming language called 
Erlang.

Last week, Joe gave the keynote at the annual conference for the Erlang 
ecosystem on the topic “The Forgotten Ideas in Computer Science”, and included

Joe has kindly invited me to collaborate on a talk to give together later in
