BUT -- are you restarting the server after you make the .tid ? You have to restart the server. AFAIK the server only loads the tid files when it first starts. After that it works from browser memory.
Also, what directory are you launching from? In your example, you need to be in the /home/sherab/ folder when executing the tiddlywiki server command.
