Xabrina, I presume you have tried the ctrl-Mouse(centre roller) to dynamically zoom in our out?
I presume you are editing a SideBar tab, or have created your own? Also, Keep in mind that due to the zoom feature all font sizes can be relative, also, items placed in the side bar do need to be designed to fit in the sidebar given its limited width. See $:/ControlPanel > Appearance > Theme Tweeks > SideBar Width See also Sidebar layout and other settings.
