Ed, It turns out that the error was a rather serious bug that somehow crept in. I am still not sure how it wasn't a problem before but I fixed it and I am trying to upload the fix to GitHub. It should be fixed in the plugin repo but my inconsistent internet access is giving me trouble uploading the single file versions.
