Jed, I just did a fresh install from git, quickly tested and - deleting works now. Thanks a lot.
And I might have been wrong even with deleting a locked tiddler - when one user wants to delete a tiddler that's been locked by another one. The tiddler only appears to be deleted, it will come back on refresh... Great. PA Btw, my wiki has now 1100 standard tiddlers and 2215 shadow tiddlers.
