I see. I am not much concerned for my current use case (my biggest TW is 10 
mb) but that can lead to quite a bit of performance hit for larger files.

Actually I was having the exact problem previously discussed among you and 
others in this thread

saving a fresh empty @version 5.1.16 over webdav, first save succeeds, 
second save fails with error: "Error while saving: XMLHttpRequest error 
code: 412". It is all explained there, I must have missed it.
