Use http://tiddlyshow.tiddlyspot.com/ a TW app for your talk, it is a demo shows how TW can be used for presentation and competes with expensive tools like powerpoint 2. In my department, people uses TW 1. As a database for project (small ones like student thesis) 2. Personal note taking 3. Documentation for example lab experiments, codes, programs 4. Couse notes (very popular) 5. Presentation (e.g like http://tiddlyshow.tiddlyspot.com/) 6. Small tutorial where they need rich texts (including audio/video) 7.
