I see - that was *very* instructive - reading the manual page for 
CheckboxWidget makes
sense if you play with an example at the same time

At first this looks like gobbledygook.

But a quick experiment with <$checkbox tag="hello"> click to add 
hello</$checkbox>

reveals what the checkbox does :-)

Once you know what it does you can understand the documentation
