Jeff, If you examine the macro you created, the line that creates the link is: <a href=<<location>> target="_blank">$file$</a>
That line creates the expected normal HTML for a link. You can modify it easily to: <a href=<<location>> target="_blank">My PDF file</a> To give a page number for your PDF, just name the file:* myPDFfile#page=7* For the new unrelated question, please do start a new topic as it helps each topic stay focussed.
