What does it mean: the current session?

In https://tiddlywiki.com/#haschanged%20Operator it tells

A tiddler is deemed to have been modified if it has been written back to
> the wiki since the start of the current TiddlyWiki session. If you edit a
> tiddler and immediately store it again without making any changes, that is
> enough to mark it as modified.

If we save the wiki and click on the refresh button, does we have started a
new session?

Does $:/temp tiddlers are removed when we start a new session?
Does we need to close - reopen to start a new session?
