Do you remember if you had to go into permissions on your 8.0 device? Or 
did it ask you?

In theory it should ask about permissions, but I don't know at what 
generation that feature gets activated.

Did anyone here get *asked* about storage permissions when they installed? 
Obviously I should have been taking better notes ...
