I don't know if anyone has taken a poll to know which method is most popular for saving. I'm guessing that it would be PMario's file-backup, since that comes closest to working like the original, only requiring a plugin.
Note that if you run TiddlyDesktop in windows, TD leaves "bread-crumbs" behind on the hard drive, even if you use the --user-data-dir option. You may also need to use the task manager to completely shut it down. I think that in order to run TD from a flash drive on linux you will need to format part of your stick with ext3 or ext4 so that you can set the permissions of the nw executable file. I was able to launch nw after mounting a VFAT flash drive with executable permissions, but then it wouldn't save the tiddlywiki. Maybe you'll have better luck. -- Mark On Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 8:07:23 AM UTC-7, SBFree wrote: > > Will I be able to run TiddlyDesktop from a flash drive in both Windows & > Linux? > Is TiddlyDesktop the most widely used method of resolving browser save > dysfunction? > Thanks in advance for any comments! > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
