Dave, In my own experience it is unique. That is why I have called for you to provide more information.
One more thing to consider, had you copied and pasted the additional text recently, or was it in the clipboard? The reason I ask is I have had somewhat similar problems, which was ultimately due to a "stuck" key on my keyboard. In which case turn the keyboard upside down on your lap and try a drum solo on it (don't scare your neighbors). You will be surprised what falls out.
