At the moment. That's intentional. I'm *no* fan of hidden elements. I think: If they are hidden they shouldn't be there. If they are useful, everyone should see them. But I can see some usecases, where it makes sense to have them. eg: If newbie users shouldn't be distracted or confused by advanced features.
