Sorry, I can't follow. Perhaps you should write it with nested lists so we 
can see exactly what you are after, then we can see if it can be simplified.

It may be strait forward but there is possibly some information missing 
from your example/question.

It may be a case of you asking a question about how to fix something, 
rather than asking the question that led to the problem.
