Don’t use the control panel to install plugins when using the client server configuration. Instead, add the plugins via the tiddlywiki.info file as described earlier in this thread. The plugins that you’ve imported via drag and drop will appear as .json files in your wiki folder; you’ll need to delete them to get things working again.
