I am looking at discourse,

To me it looks promising because it allows an ecosystem around it rather
than stand alone.

What do I like the look of?

   - I believe I can host it on my wholesale host account (I have never
   installed a ruby application)
   - Integrations include
      - Discord Chat (We have tiddleywiki client)
      - Slack
      - Analytics
      - Crowd funding With our Patreon
      <https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-patreon-integration/44366>
       and Memberful
      <https://memberful.com/help/third-party-integrations/discourse/>
       integrations
      - GitHub integration
      - translation
      - Wordpress
      - Zapier allows you to instantly connect Discourse with 1,500+ apps
      to automate + IFTTT
      - Discourse supports popular social login methods as well as local
   logins, custom OAuth2, and SAML. You can also integrate Discourse with your
   website as a single sign-on provide - also with WordPress as a result.
   - Has an app
