thanks for taking this on, or at least putting your finger in the dyke!

The microformats.org wiki has been suffering a similar attack [1],
they added the ReCatchpa extension [2] for creating a user, maybe
we should do the same, much as I hate to suggest such a horrible thing.

Also, pumping changes into irc, as we do with trac, might help us keep
an eye on the wiki and encourage more updating.
