If you've been watching the Trac timeline you may have noticed
activity that looks suspiciously like a 2.4.3 release. That's because
one is imminent.

So why a 2.4.3 release so quickly after the 2.4.2 release? The reason
is that we made a mistake - over the holiday period we missed an email
from Eric Shulman that argued persuasively for the inclusion of a
couple of patches and we didn't realize this until we had done the
2.4.2 release. So the plan was to do an immediate 2.4.3 release
including these patches today (visual inspection and testing indicated
that the patches were safe). Unfortunately we discovered a separate
bug (in the SplashScreenPlugin that is used in tiddlywiki.com) an so
had to track down and fix this bug before doing a 2.4.3 release. We've
done this, but rather than rush out the 2.4.3 release last thing on a
Friday evening (years of experience have taught me to never do
anything important last thing on a Friday), we are going to delay the
2.4.3 release until Monday.
