Ah yes, I really should have mentioned that in the list of planned
features. I'd like to offer more ways to browse the list of plugins,
including by author. However this isn't quite as simple to implement
as I'd like so I've left it for later.

TiddlyHub works on the principle that each plugin belongs to a
repository, such as MPTW. So what is very straightforward is to allow
people to browse plugins by repository, since the relationship between
repository and plugin is very clear. Eg: all the plugins from MPTW

Allowing browsing by author is a little more complicated since we can
really only get the author of a plugin from the Author slice, which
can contain various things right now ranging from email addresses to
more than one person listed (a plugin might have a previous author and
then someone else took over, or multiple authors). If we're going to
parse this properly and reliably we will probably need to introduce
some better guidelines as to what the Author slice should contain. I'd
be happy to hear any thoughts on this, including any alternative
suggestions for how to go about making this determination.

Note that we cannot assume that a repository corresponds to one
author. Multiple people may choose to publish their plugins in the
same repository.

At this time what plugin authors might find useful is the log from the
indexing mechanism, as it pinpoints plugins from each repository that
are not compliant with the requirements for TiddlyHub and are not
being indexed: http://dev.squize.org/logs/59/

Saq
