Thanks FND, I've done it! I played with nested loops for a while but arrived at another solution.
I now want to add colour to the cells depending on the values of a score: I've prepared a test case [1] I am aware that jQuery can select <td> and .addclass but can't think how to link the score to the jQuery. Also not sure if I should do this in the loop or after as always, any pointers always help.
