Martin, This sounds very good, although I am not (yet) familiar with GNU "gettext". Will it work for all text-variables in "locale.en.js" (e.g. also for "config.locale")? Anyway, for the time being I am perfectly happy with the current structure with your "locale.en.js". Both localizing changes as well as making translations works pretty well with a utility like "WinMerge".
