I found this plugin while searchin for some local file access with JS. At the moment I just want to use it private, to work with xml-files.
I did some further testing and found some difficulties to add the descibed functionality and keep it compatible. Because the ajax-calls need file-urls to work. So to accept fileurls and filepath as input, you would need a clever function which detects the format and convert it also from filepath to fileurl. And I think that's not so easy to implement. For me, this means I will write my own plugin with far less browser- support, but it will be small and simple. It's a pity that I can't use your plugin, but I will link back to your project.
