Hi Andrew Indeed, the goal is to retain backwards compatiblity for content (including macros). Plugins are not expected to retain 100% compatibility.
Our work in Osmosoft recently has been more focussed on getting TiddlySpace ready for use, and we've neglected TiddlyWiki5 over the last couple of months. However, we've incorporated some aspects of the TiddlyWiki5 prototype as plugins, which is working well, giving us a good backwards compatibility story.
