[I've dropped tiddlyweb from the to, as that no longer seems
relevant]

I would really like to get this worked out soon: I _cannot_ release a
new tiddlywebwiki with the latest TiddlyWiki if that tiddlywiki is not
a valid utf8 file. I thought I might be able to move the process along
by helping to uncover where the bad encoding is being introduced.
Just for clarity I checked out a fresh TiddlyWiki5 repo (to make
sure I hadn't introduced any weirdness) and used the 2bld.sh script.
This seems to get me the most activity without generating errors.
However the resulting file is full of this:
<<Undefined macro: serialize>>
<<Undefined macro: serialize>>
<<Undefined macro: serialize>>
<<Undefined macro: serialize>>
What's missing?
