Thank you. Over the last few days I've added a lot of the familiar
TiddlyWiki user interface features - http://five.tiddlywiki.com/ is now
looking a lot how I'd like it.

TiddlyWiki5 is already in alpha. The next milestone will be the first beta,
which is intended to be the point at which TW5 is useful to end users.
There will then be a series of betas until we as a community judge it to
have settled down, at which point we'll declare 5.0 released. (And amongst
other things switch it over from five.tiddlywiki.com to being the main
tiddlywiki.com frontpage.

During the alpha and beta periods I am freely making changes which break
compatibility of existing content; at the end of the beta we'll freeze the
core.

Indeed, the plan is to add an import mechanism that will then be used for
upgrading. Hopefully quite soon; it's certainly a necessity if we want
people to be able to conveniently test it.

Many thanks, I'm pretty pleased with it myself now.

The only thing that bothers me is about conding our own plugins. I'm not

TW5 has a much more thought-through and usable API, and a much more
flexible plugin mechanism. It's still possible to hack TW5 by dropping in a
JavaScript tiddler.

I'm hoping to hit beta in the next two or three months, and then perhaps
have the first release two or three months after that. As I say, though,
the release schedule will be determined to a great extent by the reaction
of the community.

Many thanks for the encouragement!

Best wishes

Jeremy
