Hi Stephan,

Indeed, you would create your own repository. If you wanted, you could make 
use of the github desktop client, which makes it easier to work with your 
preferred code / text editor. Github may take a bit getting used to, I'd 
recommend sticking to one workflow, e.g. not edit both online and offline, 
this may create conflicts that seem awfully difficult to resolve (for a 
version mgt. noob as myself).
