Gosh, I imagine that's because of the way that the front page says "last
updated 8 months ago"? That refers to the last modification date of the
HelloThere tiddler. In fact, TW5 is under fairly furious development - you
can get more of a flavour for the activity from GitHub:

Your comment does rather confirm that recent changes needs to be more
prominent.

Autosaving works now in tw5 when using TiddlySpace as a server. For saving
locally, the fall-back method of downloading a fresh TiddlyWiki doesn't
really work with autosave since it requires user interaction. Saving with
TiddlyFox will permit autosaving. There will be use of local storage to
preserve changes in case of a crash before you get a chance to manually
save.
